The membranes are designed, manufactured and tested specifically for RNA, DNA and protein analysis providing molecular biologists with high quality materials for outstanding results, at exceptionally economical prices. Nitrocellulose Supported transfer membrane out performs unsupported nitrocellulose when extensively re-probing or performing colony & plaque lifts.
Performance
The unique Osmonics process of impregnating pure nitrocellulose polymer onto an inert polyester web produces a very strong, dimensionally stable hybridization membrane. There are no additives such as cellulose acetate to lower the binding capacity. All membranes are Triton free and do not contain any cytotoxins.
This combination is especially important in colony and plaque lifts and multiple re-probings or any other procedure requiring rigorous handling. Membrane breakage is eliminated, reducing the cost due to wasted time, materials and lost data.
In all protocols using nitrocellulose, Osmonics Nitrocellulose supported membrane may be substituted without making any change in protocol while maintaining the same high signal and low backgrounds.
